2022 Ford F-150 XL

While the 2022 Ford F-150 XL may be the lowest of the trim levels offered for 2022, it offers a lot of features making it a strong contender for your work truck. This truck comes standard with a 3.3 V6 engine. You could also get a 2.7 liter EcoBoost engine, which is the younger brother to the 3.5 liter EcoBoost engine, which is yet another option for the Ford F-150 XL. Also available is the 5.0 liter “Coyote” engine which is a traditional V8 engine. There is also an available 3.5 liter hybrid engine. All of these engine options will be paired with the same 10 speed transmission.

Once you’ve found your perfect drivetrain, you can upgrade the truck from a two wheel drive to a four wheel drive if needed. This option could be helpful for off road situations as well as in more extreme weather conditions. Keep in mind Ford also has standard options in this truck that allow you to select driving modes such as normal, eco, tow/haul, and deep snow mode. These selectable drive modes will give the truck the capability to overcome many different driving conditions, especially when paired with a four wheel drive setup. The Ford’s front independent suspension has proven to be a pretty smooth ride for both short and long distance travel!

The interior of the 2022 Ford F-150 will come with cloth seats with matching vinyl floor coverings. An optional “Sport Cloth” is available for the interior. There are also such features as single zone air conditioning, cruise control, and pre-collision automatic braking. The Ford F-150 XL also has quick steering making it feel quite nimble on the road. An available “fully reclining” seat gives you the option to be able to fully recline into an almost flat position giving you the ability to rest or take a quick nap on the job site. The sound within the cab is reduced with the exception of the hybrid option which has been said to be somewhat loud when powering the onboard generator.
