The all-new 2021 Ford Bronco appeals to the wild at heart with its best-in-class ground clearance and standard four-wheel drive. And, thanks to its highly customizable nature, it’s easy to transform this off-road-ready SUV into your perfect globetrotter. At Jones Ford, we’re excited to lay out all the details of this awesome SUV.
What is the 2021 Ford Bronco?
After a 20 year break, Ford is bringing its off-road-ready SUV back for a fresh start. The 2021 Bronco is now available with two body styles: a four-door model that seats up to five passengers, and a more traditional two-door model that has space for four.
Like Broncos of old, these new models are body-on-frame SUVs, a design that helps drivers power through off-road territory. The upcoming Bronco offers seven trim models, which provide a range of capabilities and comfort features.
Shoppers should note that Ford is also introducing a similar model, the 2021 Bronco Sport. Based on the Ford Escape, the Bronco Sport is a crossover that errs on the side of comfort, while offering some sporty utility. It’s certainly not as rugged as the upcoming, body-on-frame Bronco.
How does the 2021 Ford Bronco stand apart from competitors?
Besides a cool combo of vintage style and standard off-roading capabilities, the 2021 Ford Bronco offers a ton of exclusive features. Here’s a look at some of the highlights:
-
Removable top and doors: Every Bronco comes standard with easy-to-remove body pieces. The doors can be conveniently stowed in a special space in the back of the Bronco.
-
Optional floor drains: Add floor drains to hose out your Bronco after a doorless day on the trail. Electrical switches and knobs are sealed to prevent short circuits. You can also add marine-grade vinyl seats for extra waterproofing.
-
Trail Control: This automated system is essentially an off-road version of cruise control, automatically moving you forward at slow speeds so that you can concentrate on steering through complicated terrain.
-
Trail Turn Assist: By braking inside the wheel, this system helps the Bronco take on very sharp turns on the trail.
-
Sync 4 with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto: The new Bronco comes with Ford’s latest and greatest infotainment system, which is the first in the segment to supply wireless access to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities.
Which Ford Bronco is best?
Since every 2021 Ford Bronco has something special to offer, it’s impossible for us to choose just one! But at Jones Ford, we’re here to help you select the Bronco that’s best for your unique needs. Here’s a quick look at the high points of each model:
-
Base: The entry-level Bronco is the budget-savvy model of the bunch, but it’s also loaded with off-roading essentials, including standard four-wheel drive.
-
Big Bend: Kick up your interior comfort a notch with the Big Bend. This SUV treats you to finery like heated seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and remote start.
-
Black Diamond: This Bronco adds to previous trim models with more in rugged capabilities. Its next-level adventuring comes courtesy of features like heavy-duty skid plates, rock rails, and a rear locking differential.
-
Outer Banks: Like its holiday destination namesake, the Outer Banks combines outdoor fun with modern style. This Bronco turns heads with LED head and taillights and high-gloss black aluminum-alloy wheels. Inside, a premium B&O sound system and a bigger, 12-inch infotainment touchscreen upgrade your cruising experience.
-
Badlands: This is a Bronco for extreme drivers. With its Bilstein shocks, disconnecting stabilizer bar, front and rear locking differentials, and more, the Badlands is the most capable of all Broncos.
-
Wildtrak: This Bronco was built for high-speed off-roading! In addition to rugged performance gear, this desert racer’s standard V6 engine supplies premium speed and increasing off-road thrills.
-
First Edition: All 3,500 of the limited-edition First Edition Broncos have already been claimed. These lucky drivers will love the First Edition for its combination of the Badlands’s mechanics, the Wildtrak’s sleek exterior, and the Outer Banks’s upscale interior.
